UNDERSTANDING THE ECOSYSTEM
Groundswell’s mission is to give startups the best possible ecosystem to launch and succeed. The community that Groundswell is working to foster brings together a variety of talents and expertise to produce a whole that is greater than its parts.
The companies in our ecosystem range from one person to large companies with hundreds of employees.
The startups in our network aren’t only the ones in the building. The Groundswell coworking space is the epicenter of our activity, but the companies we support exist throughout the Space Coast.
Startups receive support from the Groundswell ecosystem through our online resources, time donated by our mentors and often support from our community partners. They benefit from experts outside of their field and from the experience of the seasoned entrepreneurs in our network.
Mentors in our network give their time without the expectation of payment. They benefit from the relationships that form with new companies and entrepreneurs that breed strong brand loyalty.
Mentors play a large role in building the community of trust and reliability in the Groundswell ecosystem. They are brought into the network as aggressive problem solvers and are expected to give honest feedback and respect company confidentiality regardless of any formal NDA agreement.
Community partners are businesses that have overcome the early-stage struggle and give back to the network to support newer companies through a monetary donation. Community partners benefit from the creative, open work and meeting space at Groundswell and from the recruiting and retention tools that Groundswell provides.
Managers of our community partners are also invited to become mentors; many have found that it helps sharpen their entrepreneurial edge to the benefit of their employer.
