In this presentation, Groundswell mentor and attorney Alex Simser will provide a practical, five step guide to establishing, protecting, and maintaining intellectual property assets to help ensure your startup makes it from the early stage through growth and successful exit. Alexandrea “Alex” R. Simser is a corporate intellectual property attorney with Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, PA. She helps her clients with IP protection and acquisition strategies, including brand management, policing and enforcement, technology law issues, teaming/partnering strategies for global product and service roll-outs, complex business transactions, joint ventures, agreements for engineering and software services, subcontractor management, supply chain management and related matters.
